Victorian Police Team
Aussie Bodies is proud to sponsor three members of the Victorian Police in both the Victorian Police & Emergency Services Games and the World Police & Fire Games. Wayne Wolstche will compete in Indoor and Open Water Swimming and Cycling, Roland Kurzke will compete in Road Race, Time Trial, Criterium and Hill Climb Cycling, and Brett Adamson will take on Running, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Track & Field.
For the past five years Wayne, Roland and Brett have competed in the Australia and New Zealand Police and Emergency Services Games (ANZPES Games) which are held in different cities around Australia and New Zealand. Each year they compete as a team in the Triathlon event.
At the 2004 Australian & New Zealand Police & Emergency Services Games in Perth they came 2nd and in 2005 they won the Victorian event, and Australian event in Adelaide. After the overall competition they finished with 13 Gold, five Silver and three Bronze medals from various events including triathlon, cycling, swimming, track and field, duathlon and aquathon.
This year the Victorian Police & Emergency Services Games are held between 24 February and 4 March 2007. This is a lead up to the World Police & Fire Games which will be held in Adelaide. The world games are held every two years in a different city around the world and attract a large number of competitors from all over the globe.
Organisers expect approximately 15,000 competitors and officials for 65 sporting events, making it the largest sporting event ever held in Adelaide. Further details of the games can be found at www.2007wpfg.com
