Health Brands voluntarily recalls Rice Rounds Cheese & Bacon flavour

Health Brands Australia, distributors of the Healtheries Kidscare range, has voluntarily recalled packets of the new Rice Rounds Cheese & Bacon flavour from sale nationally with immediate effect.

This action has been taken following the detection of a packaging error. The front of the pack states the product is 'Dairy Free'. This is incorrect. The Rice Rounds Cheese & Bacon flavour product contains dehydrated milk powder, which is listed in the ingredients on the back of the pack.

The Healtheries Kidscare range of Rice Rounds was launched on 4th January, and has had limited distribution to Woolworths and K-Mart.

Health Brands General Manager, Maria Deveson Crabbe, made the decision to recall the product as a precautionary measure and a demonstration of their commitment to their customers. 

"Customers can return the product to the point of purchase for an immediate full cash refund. Any concerned parents can call our toll free number 1800 247 757.We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused," said Ms Deveson Crabbe.

The recall does not affect the Rice Rounds Original flavour, which is correctly labelled as 'Dairy Free'. Rice Rounds Original flavour will continue to be stocked at Woolworths and K-Mart nationally.
