What is the PCF® Menu Maker and how do I use it?


The PCF MenuMaker helps you to create your daily/weekly menu, find out the PCF value of a food and how appropriate it is for your body type.

If you haven't worked out your PCF value or body type please go back to the weight plan home page and complete the calculator. Then you can return to the MenuMaker and work out your own personalised menu plan to help you reach your health and fitness goal.

Or you can simply click on [suggest a menu] and a 7 Day Plan will instantly be created for you based on some more general information. This is not as personalised to your unique Ayurvedic body type but it is still based on your general PCF.

Today's day will automatically be displayed on the tab so you can begin planning for your next meal. Simply click on the [plus] button to select a food for that meal.

Browse a category for the food you are after, i.e. fish, or do a search for a specific food. i.e. barramundi

You are then displayed with a list of foods to select from. When you find the food you are after you can see the name, what body type(s) it is appropriate for in brackets (V = Vata, P = Pitta and K = Kapha), a serving size, selected quantity and PCF value. For more information on a particular food simply click on any food name and a full description or recipe will be displayed.

Choose the appropriate serving size and click the [plus] button to add that food to your selected meal.

You will see in the bottom right hand corner the PCF graph. This will keep you on track with your selections by making sure they stay within the limits of your allocated PCF. If you have selected the 7 day plan without completing the PCF calculator then your PCF target on the plan will be 00:00:00. All that you need to do is follow the 7 day plan and the PCF Totals it has provided.

If you want to delete a meal in the suggested 7 day plan or your own menu you can do so simply by using the minus sign.

If you would like to clear that day or whole week simply press [clear day] or [clear week]

When you have completed your day or week you can then print off your menu and eat your way to a healthier and happier you.
