Auction assists academic adventure
TUESDAY, MAY 08, 2007Aussie Bodies was proud to contribute a signed basketball compliments of Melbourne Tigers, to raise funds for Tintern Schools' Sports and Cultural Trip to the UK.
Tintern Schools held a Trivia night and auction on Friday 4 May. Thirty nine students from both campuses and four staff will be travelling together to play Cricket, Tennis and Netball against schools in the UK before travelling to Paris on their way home.
The successful bidder of the basketball was Mr Steve Miller (seen pictured with his prize) who paid $135 and was happy to be able to support the students on their travels and was overjoyed with his find.
$10,000 was raised overall on the night to help the students on their trip.
