Belinda Harrison

Belinda Harrison is a Geelong based triathlete who has been competing in triathlon since 2001.  Her triathlon career has moved from short course age grouper to half and full Ironman professional distance athlete.

Initial seasons focused on Sprint and Olympic distance racing and after representing Australia in her age group at the World Triathlon Championships in Queenstown New Zealand 2003, she decided to pursue long course racing.  Belinda placed 2nd in her age group at the New Zealand Ironman 2005 and qualified for the 2005 Hawaii Ironman World Triathlon Championship.

In 2006 Belinda joined the elite ranks to participate in short and long course triathlon. Her debut professional Ironman was in Port Macquarie in April 2006, she placed 8th and qualified for a pro slot in the Hawaii Ironman. Through hard work, commitment and correct nutrition Belinda made it to Victoria's number one ranked Ironman distance athlete.

More recently she has been announced as the International Face of the Geelong 70.3. This is an amazing achievement and a clear recognition of Belinda's hard work. The Geelong 70.3 will take place in February 2008. Until then Belinda has resumed training after a having 6 weeks break preceding the Japan Ironman. She is set to compete in the upcoming Yeppoon Half Ironman, using the race to test out new nutritional ideas to optimise her performance. From there she'll race the Gold Coast Half Ironman and later in the year, the Busselton (full) Ironman.

Throughout the years Belinda has had continual support from Aussie Bodies. "Aussie Bodies products ensure that my optimal nutritional requirements are met during training, racing and to provide maximum recovery from the demands of triathlon". Belinda continues, "As an Ironman I believe nutrition is an important part of performance, without essential recovery products such as protein powders and bars I would not have the essential ingredients to reap maximum benefits from my training".

Belinda's training and racing regime

Perfect Protein - breakfast shake and post training.
Protein Revival Low Carb Iced Coffee - an alternative post training, recovery and rehydration option.

"Aussie Bodies have such a variety of products to cater for my nutritional needs, they play a vital role in my training, racing and recovery. The results yielded have been reflected in my elite performances, the products provide an edge against other elite competitors".
