Damian Brown
WEIGHTLIFTINGDamian Brown is Australia's most accomplished weightlifter, with a remarkable record of achievements both on and off the weightlifting platform.
Damian has represented Australia in three Olympic Games and four Commonwealth Games, winning four gold, one silver and three bronze medals. He is also a World Record Holder for participation in twelve consecutive World Weightlifting Championships. Damian's outstanding achievements were honoured at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games where he was selected as the Australian Team Opening Ceremony Flag Bearer.
"It's my proudest moment," Damian told reporters. "I've always loved Opening Ceremonies. You get a chill down your spine, a tingle in your scalp. To lead the charge with 500 of the Nation's best athlete's behind me was an honour."
Outside the competitive arena, Damian plays a prominent role in Australian sport administration and public speaking. He is the Chairman of the Australian Olympic Committee's (AOC) Athletes' Commission and an AOC Executive Board Member. He is the General Manager of Olympic Communicators, the official Speakers Bureau of the AOC and is also an Australia Day Ambassador.
Damian has had a long standing association with Aussie Bodies and never lets a day pass without his morning fix of Protein Revival.
