Sydney Kings NBL Championship runners-up courageous to end
After producing the biggest final-quarter comeback in NBL history last Wednesday night, the Sydney Kings extended the HUMMER Championship Grand Final Series to a deciding fifth game at the Kingdome Friday March 14th with a magnificent 90-87 victory over the Melbourne Tigers Wednesday night at the Cage.
Sadly, the Tigers put the bite on the Kings and ended this roller coaster National Basketball League series ahead in an 85-73 win.
It was a standing room only match; both teams displaying persistence, determination and belief, to a full house of spectators delight. After the devastation of losing game 4 to the Kings, the Tigers delivered, showing a particularly powerful defense.
Over the years, the Sydney Kings have maintained a great relationship with Aussie Bodies while sustaining their own strong tradition of connecting with the community, in particular with young basketball players. The Kings feel it is important to give back to the community after all the support that the team has received. Therefore, the Kings have been actively involved in programs such as basketball clinics in order to hone the skills of junior players. Thus, allowing the Kings to keep in touch with their young fans and help out when possible.
Powdered with Aussie Bodies sports nutrition products, the Kings have held a competitive edge to this season's end, and we are extremely proud of their prowess on court, dedication to performance and contribution to a spectacular final, remaining graceful in defeat.
