Are the myths about weight training true?

The 2 most common myths about weight training are that weights make women bulk up. And that muscle can turn to fat if you don't work out.

Firstly, it is virtually impossible for women to bulk up because females produce such a small amount of testosterone compared to men. The combination of weight training and natural hormones will help the muscle become more shapely but are very unlikely to make a woman look like an instant body builder.

Secondly muscle and fat are physiologically different. Muscle tissue is made up of specialised cells called muscle fibres. Fat is make up of specialised cells called adipocytes. Muscle fibres cannot change into adipocytes and vice versa.
